Volunteer Opportunities
Preschool Shepherd: Help lead the preschool class
(children ages 3-5). You will help them with crafts, games, cooking and
bible application.
K-Grade 2 Shepherd:
Help lead the K-grade 2 class. You will help them with crafts, games,
cooking and bible application.
3rd-5th
Grade Shepherd: Help lead the 3rd -5th
grade class. You will help them with crafts, games, cooking and bible
application.
Games Leader:
Do you like to play Games? Then this job is for you. You will
work with a small group of children each week. You will review the bible
story with the children and lead the children in various indoor and outdoor
games.
Crafts Assistant:
Do you love to get crafty? Then think about helping our Craft Leaders. You
might be asked to help select crafts, make crafts, help with set-up and
assist children with making their craft.
Cooking Assistant:
We are looking for people who want to help out with our Cooking rotations.
No cooking experience is required. You can volunteer one, two or three times
during each cooking rotation.
Bible Story Time:
We need people to help with our monthly drama presentation. You will work
with Cheryl Alvord on the “Big Group” skits which are performed the first
week of each rotation. We can also use people who would like to help with
props and costumes.
Christmas Program:
We can use people to help with the Christmas Program. Some opportunities:
preparing/sorting costumes, copying scripts, helping children during the
practice, dress rehearsal and performance.
Christmas Angel Project:
We could use one or two volunteers to help the Outreach Team with the
Christmas Angel Project. You might be asked to photocopy/distribute
information to students and parents, help purchase gifts, wrap gifts.
6th-7th
Grade Teacher: We are looking for a teacher for this
age group. Anne Molnar taught this age group this past year and was very
impressed with their commitment and zest for knowledge.
10th- 12th
Grade Teacher: We are looking for a teacher for this
age group. Ann Brown has worked with this age group for the past few years
and would be happy to talk with you about this age group.
Substitutes:
We can always use people to help out on a short-term or last-minute basis.
One Time Projects:
We can always use help with short-term projects (these might include
cleaning classrooms, organizing supplies, painting, decorating for special
events, etc.) |
